In a bid to equip young minds with valuable digital skills, the Oshodi Learning Circle (LC) recently organized a comprehensive training program for students on web development. The initiative, which took place at the council\u2019s ICT centre, drew enthusiastic participation from students across various secondary schools in the region and as well school leavers.<\/p>\n

The training covered essential web development skills, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic web design principles. Experienced instructors guided the students through practical sessions, ensuring they gained hands-on experience in creating and managing websites.<\/p>\n

During the closing ceremony held on May 18, 2024, the chairman, Mr. Sulaimon, emphasized the importance of consistency and perseverance in mastering web development. “In today\u2019s digital age, having web development skills can open numerous opportunities. However, it’s not just about learning the basics; consistency and continuous practice are key to becoming proficient,” he said.<\/p>\n

He also highlighted the council\u2019s commitment to supporting educational initiatives that prepare students for the future. “Our goal is to provide platforms where our youth can develop skills that are relevant in the modern job market. This training is just one of many steps we are taking to ensure our students are not left behind in the digital revolution,” he added.<\/p>\n

Participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn and improve their skills. Speaking with AbdulMaalik,\u00a0 “This training has been incredibly valuable. I feel more confident in my abilities to create websites, and I\u2019m motivated to continue learning and improving.”<\/p>\n

The Oshodi LC plans to organize more such programs in the future, aiming to empower the youth with digital literacy and enhance their employability in the competitive job market.<\/p>\n
