Academic Excellence Initiative (AEI) surulere in collaboration with the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Itire Ikate Branch hosted a career counseling program, themed ”Fostering Academic And Career Growth”

In our rapidly changing world, the pursuit of academic excellence and career growth lays the foundation for personal success and community advancement.

Youths across surulere were in attendance, guest speakers from various fields- Science, Engineering, Humanities, and Management graced the event. Their presence highlighted the vital role of mentorship in shaping the future of the leaders of tomorrow.

NYCN, Itire Ikate Coordinator Comr. Amb. Oshodi John Ayodele in his opening remarks thanked the executive chairman, Itire-Ikate LCDA, Hon. (Dr.) Ahmed Olarenwaju Apatira for his unwavering support and dedication to youth development in Itire-Ikate LCDA. His leadership has made progressive initiatives in our community. Appreciation also goes to the Academic Excellence Initiative for their corporate and community partnerships which enhances educational and career opportunities for young people in surulere and Lagos state at large.

He went further by imploring the young leaders to pursue their dreams, shun negative vices such as drugs abuse, peer pressure, and cultism. He also urged young leaders to Engage positively, ask questions and seek guidance from experts, because this will in turn empower them to shape their future positively.
While the Project Officer, AEI Surulere, Ahmed Olanrewaju Abdulhafeez during the clossing remark urged the attendees to be good ambassadors of AEI in their respective schools and not to only aspire to be successful in their studies but also aspire to be competent in whatever career they have chosen.
